UNIFORM AND DRESS CODE
All students of Immaculate Conception school are required to wear the uniform as set out in the guidelines. Students who are unable to wear the complete uniform (including gym uniform) at any given time are required to have a note of explanation from their parents. Students who do not wear the prescribed uniforms will have their parents notified. The uniform for Immaculate Conception School is as follows:
Boys
· Navy twill pants (plain) IC regulation
· White shirt – long or short sleeved dress shirt or white crested school golf shirt
· V-neck long sleeve navy pullover or vest (with school crest)
· All black dress shoe or solid black runner. No high tops permitted.
· Navy or white socks- absolutely no sockettes permitted
Girls
· K-3, Plaid tunic – IC regulation – knee length
· 4-7, - Plaid kilt – knee length
· Plain white blouse (no lace) or white school crested golf shirt
· Navy cardigan (with school crest)/school vest
· White or navy blue knee high socks or tights - absolutely no sockettes permitted
· Navy slacks may be worn for field trips that call for such attire
· All black dress shoe or solid black runner. No high tops permitted.
Summer Uniform – Completely Optional
Effective: April 1 – October 31
Boys
· Navy walking shorts – IC regulation
· Plain white dress shirt or white crested school golf shirt
· Plain white or plain navy socks – absolutely no sockettes permitted
· All black dress shoe or all black runner. No high tops permitted
Gym Uniform
· IC shirt and shorts (purchased through the school)
· White or natural colour soled runner – to be worn for PE only
· Drawstring bag to store gym uniform at school
Note: Girls may wear small earrings. However, for safety reasons, large and/or dangling earrings are not permitted in school or at school functions. Boys are not permitted to wear earrings at school or any school functions. Students are not permitted to colour, dye, bleach, highlite or streak their hair.
Dress for Recess Activities
For chilly, cold or inclement weather, students are expected to be dressed appropriately with coats, hats, gloves and boots.
All personal belongings including clothing should be marked with the student’s full name.
